This year’s cross-grade level group of Digital Aces at Salisbury Middle School met for the first time during an October morning session to get to know each other and collaborate on creating iMovie video clips to share with students and teachers. One of the main goals of Digital Aces is to raise capacity of all digital learners at Salisbury Middle School by determining the best digital tools to use for various tasks and then critically examining the best way to use them.  This school year they will also focus on sharing their results effectively via online platforms.

Students were selected after advisors Mr. David Beyer, Sixth Grade Teacher, and Mrs. Barbara Jaindl, Library Media Teacher, collected applications from students who demonstrated independence and initiative by responding to an invite to be considered by completing a survey about their digital tools use.
Here are some tips created by small teams of Digital Aces to help others consider how best to use green screen effectively.

Kudos to our SMS Library student teacher, Miss Gwen Fisher, who helped facilitate this session during her first week with us. We look forward to another session in December with her on our team of teacher/learners.
