Back to School

Here is an infographic – Eco-friendly Back to School Shopping – that provides some interesting data and suggestions about how we can all be more eco-friendly as we return to school. Related to TL2014, the data suggests that 35-40% of trash in the solid waste stream comes from businesses and institutions like schools. Of this trash stream, 40% is composed of paper products. Salisbury is certainly no exception. However, with every student in grades 6-12 using their own personal computer and communicating digitally, we expect a significant reduction in our costs for paper, printers, printing toner and Xeroxing.
